About me

Thank you so much for reaching out and considering me for counseling. Something in your life has led you to reach out for support and I want to applaud you for taking the first step! I take great pride and responsibility in walking through the stories of my clients and assisting them in finding the life they want. Here is a little about me and my approach to help support you:

My name is Tori Campbell. I am an LPC-MHSP licensed in the state of Tennessee and pursuing an additional license as a LADAC. I have an accumulative of 4 years of counseling experience working in multiple settings including an inpatient psychiatric hospital providing crisis stabilization care, outpatient support as well as a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility. I have worked with clients of all ages struggling with a wide range of concerns including depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety/stress, addictions of all kinds, feelings of emptiness/loneliness, family and relationship conflicts and more.

My passion and dedication for counseling stems from my own personal experience with mental health struggles as well as loving those with their own struggles. I have had the pleasure of helping individuals who feel hopeless and stuck find joy and purpose. My hope for our time together is to meet you where you're at and provide you with the support and skills you need to live the life you hope for.

My approach comes from a place of focusing on your strengths and goals to create the best course of treatment for our time together. You are the expert on you! So we will work closely together to find individualized treatment goals and actions. I am a firm believer that our thoughts can influence our feelings and behaviors, so taking time to acknowledge your thoughts and thinking are important to me. I would describe my therapeutic style as warm and empathetic while encouraging you to dig deep in order to become the best version of yourself. My approach involves achieving greater insight into you and utilizing tools, skills and strategies that you can begin using immediately to initiate positive change in your life.

The counseling relationship is very important to me! I want to create a safe space for you to share your thoughts, struggles and feelings and feel validated, supported and understood. I encourage and welcome feedback from my clients to create the space that you need for you. If this is the kind of relationship you would like to have with your counselor then I look forward to working with you!

I’ve experienced terrible counseling in the past. They tried to diagnose me, make me feel rushed during sessions, didn’t get back to me in a timely manner, and the counseling only made things worse. I saw Better Help on Facebook and was thinking that it honestly seemed odd and I was highly skeptical. I will say, this is the best money I have ever spent! I’m so glad to have been placed with Tori! She has given me so many tools and ideas to help me work through my past, present, and even the future!! 1000/10 recommend!!!
