Violet Alcantar, LCSW
About me
Hi and thank you for stopping by today. You are taking such an important first step toward reaching your goals. I have been helping individuals, like you, to reach their goals, mend relationships, overcome traumas and improve their lives for nearly a decade. Therapy isn’t always easy, which is why feeling comfortable and safe with your therapist is most important to your success. I take a collaborative approach in therapy, starting where you are and working together to make positive changes.
As a trauma informed therapist, I also consider the biological perspective of mental health and the important role of our mind-body connection. I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, TF-CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Therapy and Experiential Therapy.
I am experienced in working with depression, anxiety, self-image, life adjustments, stress management, grief and loss, infertility, and pregnancy and postpartum stressors. I work with individuals, couples, families, adolescents and adults to overcome some of life’s most challenging times.
A little more about me… I am a first generation Latinx woman who received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies in 2009, and a Master of Social Work in 2013. I am bilingual in Spanish. I whole heartedly believe in the healing power of relationships and therapy.
I look forward to meeting you and celebrating all the success you will make along the way together.

Violet helped me organize and manage my thoughts and emotions. She introduced me to cognitive behavioral therapy, which I believe is an important concept for everyone to explore and understand.
