Hi! My name is Virginia and I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with 8 years of experience in providing mental health and case management services with adults, adolescents and the elderly. I have provided individual and group therapy to patient’s within the community mental health agencies, hospitals, and prisons. I have a passion for working with diverse and multi-cultural populations. I believe everyone has a unique story, journey, and life experience that needs to be shared and I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment to explore and express that story. The most crucial part of any therapy process is for you to feel safe and confident while telling your story. I am a compassionate and encouraging person who will always strive to create an atmosphere that not only empowers you, but also supports you.
My approach combines cognitive behavior, solution-focused, client-centered therapy that concentrates on mindfulness, self-exploration, and help build on one’s strengths and respect ones both past and present experiences. I will work with you to tailor a treatment plan and approach to what works best for you. You have taken the first step and I know it takes courage to seek help within the unknown. I know life right now may seem like a roller-coaster, but I am here and ready to take that step and help support and empower you. I look forward to working with you.
