About me

Hello and hats off to you for prioritizing your personal well-being and accessing some additional support. My hope is that you can utilize the therapeutic relationship as a safe, non-judgemental space to honestly explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in Louisiana with over 10 years of experience working as a counselor and life coach. I work with individuals, couples and families to explore a range of challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, LGBTQ issues, substance use, family conflict and parenting challenges. I take a collaborative approach to our work together and encourage you to be a full partner in your healing and growth.

I work from a person-centered perspective, meaning that I work to meet each client where they are at and integrate a strengths-based approach. I utilize theories and techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Psychodynamic Theory, Psychoeducation, and Solution-Focused Therapy among other modalities. My practice is also informed by my experience within mindfulness coaching as I've found these tools to be helpful in assisting people to develop a wider awareness and ability to integrate healthy coping strategies.

I look forward to providing you with the ongoing support, education and resources that will allow you to make proactive changes and move forward in your life with a sense of hope, creativity and self confidence. I look forward to hearing from you!

Virginia is an excellent therapist. She listens to my concerns with empathy and understanding. I feel safe talking to her about my past and present circumstances. She is always warm, caring and kind.
