Vivian Ireton

About Me

Hi! My name is Vivian Ireton. I currently live in Indiana and am a licensed clinical social worker in this state. I got my Masters of Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana. I have a Bachelors degree in Religious Studies. I have 9 years experience in counseling working with clients who have anxiety, depression, addiction issues, as well as trauma. I see my role as walking alongside you as you are are on your journey. I use a variety of therapies in my practice such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused as well as client focused. The most important part of therapy is YOU! I will get to know you and together we will decide what the best form of therapy will help you reach your goals.

I grew up in Indiana and have lived in Indianapolis and Evansville. I have also lived in Wilmore, KY and Chicago, IL. I currently live in a small town along the Ohio River which I really enjoy. In my spare time I like to fish, kayak, horseback ride and read. I am a fur baby mom as I have three cats and two dogs.

I am currently taking clients in Indiana and Florida as I am licensed in those two states. I do take clients outside the US depending on the time zones.

She's nice and personable. I feel comfortable telling her about my personal life.

Vivian is really a breath of fresh air! At first I was concerned about the transition from my previous counsellor to a BetterHelp counsellor, but Vivian has made the transition feel pretty smooth. I was worried about "starting over", but now I'm thrilled that I switched! If I don't reach out to Vivian for a few days, she will message me to ask how I'm doing. I also love being able to type out my background/history through messaging, so we can get straight into the meat and potatoes during our sessions.
