About me

I'm a strengths based therapist licensed in IL with experience in trauma informed care, anxiety & depression, and family & relationship dynamics. I have worked with clients with a range of concerns including; domestic violence, cultural family dynamics, relationships, communication, anxiety, depression, and sexual assault and abuse. Additionally, I am passionate about aiding

I enjoy partnering with individuals who would like to further explore and gain a deeper understanding of their own self-proclaimed identities, no matter the intersectionality you may identify with. Being a first generation, South Asian immigrant myself, I can empathize with the need to find balance within the many aspects of our lives. There are many things within our lives, external and internal, that can be difficult to navigate alone; finding a therapist who is a good fit for you, can be a great help.

As a psychotherapist, I believe the therapeutic relationship is nothing without a human connection. As people, it’s important for us to feel safe and respected in spaces where we are being vulnerable. I am passionate about working collaboratively to create a warm, inviting space in which you feel heard and understood. I aim to help you identify and use the strengths you already possess, to help you create a life you love and are proud of.

I look forward to collaborating with you!

From the moment I talked with Wareesha I appreciated her work ethic and communication style. Wareesha asked me about my expectations for this service and was upfront about her current availability. From the first session I felt connected to Wareesha because I felt she understood where I was coming from and helped me open my mind to where my emotional triggers were coming from and how I could better my perception of myself. I feel like I’ve made a lot of progress and the work with Wareesha doesn’t stop there. She has really helped me understand myself and the world as I perceive it and has helped me continue to do the hard work to listen and understand myself mentally, emotionally, and even physically.
