About Me

Hello!! Thank you for stopping by to get a little more information about me. I obtained my Master's degree in social work and am licensed as a clinical social worker in both Kansas and Missouri. I believe the most important part of the therapeutic relationship is...the relationship! I provide a more holistic mental health approach. You are the client and you are in control of your mental health journey!! I practice very client-centered interventions and we'll go at your pace. I utilize a very eclectic blend of evidenced-based therapies including CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) as well as Strengths Based Perspective but again I tailor the interventions to your particular treatment plan. I have worked with clients with many different obstacles such as personality disorders, depression, anxiety and trauma processing. I've also assisted clients with relationship, self-esteem and identity issues. I believe every individual should be in control of their mental health journey. I'm here to educate and empower you throughout that evolution. I suggest and encourage complementary and alternative therapy modalities in conjunction with conventional mental health services such as aroma therapy, meditation and yoga. I believe each individual has a set of skills and strengths to be tapped into throughout their mental health journey to assist with their evolution. Each individual is treated with respect. I believe we are a team! I would love an opportunity to speak with you further to determine if we're a good fit. I look forward to talking with you more!

Wendy is very responsive and provides me with activities I can do when it is right for me. She checks in on me and she helps me feel that I can take things day by day without assuming there's going to be a cataclysmic event.
