About me

Hello. :) Pleased to meet you.

I am a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I have a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. Mental Health Counselors are trained to take a positive and proactive approach to helping people. I believe that you have a lot of potential, and the answers for you will be found within you. My role is to guide you and help you to tap into your inner strengths, and you have them whether it seems that way right now to you or not. While I have training and experience related to mental health and mental health disorders, the best expert on you is you. I want to get to know you and give you the support that you need to get through the challenges that you are facing.

I have worked with clients (adults and teens, and some younger kids) at a community mental health center and also inpatient and residential treatment centers, as well as agencies that specialized in working with people with addictions, and another that specializes in older adults. I have helped people with all kinds of mental health problems like depression, anxiety, trauma, dissociative disorders, and personality disorders, as well as behavioral and chemical addictions. I'm really interested in autistic spectrum disorders too and have also worked with people on the spectrum and their loved ones. I used to work with adults with disabilities, and I have also been a mental health consultant for preschool children and their parents and teachers. There are several different modalities that I like to use. One of my favorites is DBT. I also like Schema Therapy, Positive Psychology, Collaborative Problem Solving, and CBT. We can talk about what works best for you and tailor the methods to your needs. Please let me know what you find helpful, and anything that you think might help you even more. I love to learn new things, so even if you come up with something new and different, I'll do my best to learn about it.
