Wendy Savarese, LPC
About me
Wendy Savarese earned her Master's Degree in 1994 from Monclair State University. Shortly thereafter, she earned her license to practice in New Jersey as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She then undertook more education and training to become a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC).
With over twenty-five years of experience in the field of mental health, Wendy has worked in a variety of settings: Domestic Violence shelters, Group homes, inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, emergency room screening, in-home clinician, suicide hotline, and methadone clinics. Wendy also gained valuable experience in assessment, treatment planning, supportive housing, and case management/treatment planning for DCP&P.
Wendy has worked with children as young as five, with teenagers, but primarily with adults as old as eighty-seven. Her therapy choice tends to be CBT which she provides with empathy, understanding and compassion. Wendy is currently working to earn her Clinical Supervisor's credential so that she can provide supervision to clinicians who are coming up the ranks..
