I know that finding a counselor is similar to creating any other sort of bond with a person and my biggest concern going into this was that I would be paired with someone I didn't feel comfortable talking to. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was matched with someone like Wenona. She is incredible at listening to anything and everything I have to say, she sends me helpful tips and worksheets to help me get through and work through anything I need, even when the conversation is serious she helps keep it light making it easier for me to express myself. It's even gotten to a point where sometimes our sessions are just friendly chats (which I never realize I need until I'm smack in the middle of them lol). I would 110% recommend her to anyone and everyone because sitting with her feels more like talking to a friend than it does talking to a counselor and I think that is so important because it gets me a whole lot more comfortable with the entire exchange of fears, anxieties, news etc. I would also like to mention that on top of our scheduled meetings, she makes a point of checking up on me between sessions (even thought I'm terrible at responding to texts), she is very quick to respond whenever I message her outside of our sessions, and she actually remembers everything, which really emphasizes the fact that she is invested in my well-being.

Wenni is such a good counselor. She has made me feel welcomed and accepted. She gave me great tools to use for my anxiety and has made my life easier with all her help. I would honestly be lost if it weren't for her help. She is non-judgemental and listens with empathy and really cares about you!
