About me

Hi, I’m Whitney. I help people who struggle with anxiety overcome their anxiety symptoms.

About my clients: You know that feeling of "anxiousness" that distracts you and keeps your from showing up in the world as your best self? The "anxiousness" that keeps you from saying how you truly feel? The "anxiousness" that keeps you up a night when you know you have to wake up early the next day? The "anxiousness" that keeps your mind running and wondering about things that have yet to happen? The "anxiousness" that seems to somehow interfere with your relationships? You must be exhausted and burnt out. I get it. Life can be overwhelming these days. Therapy can provide you with insight on how to get out of the rut. I look forward to working together and helping you find clarity so that you can ease your anxiety symptoms.

My background and approach: I have a background in individual and family therapy. I received my master’s degree in social work from the University of Central Florida, and I received my bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida. I use a combination of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and wholistic therapeutic practices when working with my clients. Many clients believe that it is the therapist’s job to make them feel better. While feeling better may be the outcome of counseling it is not always the case in every situation. My main role is to help you identify the root cause and triggers of your anxiety, and to perhaps help you understand your anxiety more clearly and provide insight as to why it is surfacing so intensely. You and I will work collaboratively to develop the capacity to endure intense emotions and channel them properly. By doing this you will be able to increase your ability to disperse/ relieve your anxiety symptoms at a quicker rate.

Anxiety can be a persistent thorn in your side, but the thing about thorns is that they can be pulled out. Let me help you pull out your anxiety "thorn" and get you on the path to a life where you manage your anxiety and your anxiety doesn't manage you.

She was amazing and helped my mindset stay healthy and positive. I stopped from spiraling because Whitney was there helping me the whole way patiently listening and being available from a completely non-judgemental and understanding standpoint. That was exactly what I needed at the time. She was so kind and I got through several difficult depressive episodes with her help. I was able to pull myself out of negative cycles and feel a genuine happiness inside keeping in mind all the advice and grace she granted me. Wonderful therapist.

Whitney has helped me realize that I place a lot of things upon myself that I shouldn’t. We set intentions and I am given homework that intentionally try my best to fulfill. I would recommend her to people who want to do the work with their mental health. She holds you accountable.

She is extremely easy to talk to. When we first met, she took the time to get to know me. She asked where I come from, what I do for a living, and what I like to do. I chose better help because I have been cooping up a lot of feelings, and I needed a safe place to vent it all out. I have no regrets. Thank you so much Whitney!
