Counseling offers a safe place to heal and help you rediscover who you are as you transition to a new phase in your life. I know you're ready to let go and move forward.
I work with people who struggle with their identity due to a life transition. I help them rediscover who they are as they move forward with their life free of shame, guilt, and self-doubt.
I hope you take the time to heal and connect to your inner-self, make peace with your past, and move forward with your life.
Everyone has the power to heal themselves and come out stronger than before. Life Transitions can happen at any time.
They can come in the form of:
-A new career
-Starting/Ending a romantic relationship
-Joining a new religion/ leaving it altogether
Of course, these are just a few transitions one can experience.
Whether the change was planned or not, it can be hard to manage. This can leave you feeling STRESSED OUT!!! Stress can manifest itself in different ways.
*You can't seem to get ENOUGH sleep, tossing and turning through the night.
*Feeling overwhelmed, unmotivated, or unfocused throughout the day
*You can't stop worrying about what people think about you
*Your sex drive has dropped (you don't even want to cuddle)
*You need your daily "fix" of chocolate, but instead of one candy bar or a scoop of Ice Cream, you've eaten 3'x's as much.
*One glass of wine or beer a few nights a week has led to 2-3 glasses every night. Your loved ones are worried.
*And now your starting isolate yourself from those you love
You don't have to suffer in silence. You're not alone. We all experience life transitions, I sure have, countless times, and they don't always wait for the right time to show up.
Going through a life transition can also cause us to question our identity.
Who am I? What am I doing with my life? Where do I fit into this new role in my life?
Change is a normal part of life, but sometimes we feel like no one will understand us.
Many people find themselves struggling to adjust after a life transition. They feel stuck, confused, overwhelmed, uncertain, maybe even anxious or depressed. I see it all the time.
You know you're meant to be great, but self-sabotage knocks on the door, and you always answer it.
Which has you questioning your beliefs, thoughts, and feelings about yourself.
Life transitions come in many forms; you can't stop change. It's normal to question your identity.
That means it's time to re-evaluate where you are now and how you're going to move forward.
You have to be willing to explore who you are—the pleasant and painful parts. You don't have to be in the same place mentally or emotionally 3-6 months from now. You can feel confident and secure in who you are.
Counseling offers you a chance to work on:
-Improving your self-esteem
-Re-evaluate your values and beliefs
-Learn to identify and express your feelings
-Focus on Self-Care
-Release people, places, and things that are not supporting your growth
-Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable.
- And rebuild/ strengthen your support system
As you learn to accept the things that you cannot change. While taking it one step at a time, this is a marathon, not a 5K
Counseling can help you unlock a deeper understanding of yourself from a spiritual perspective and learn to heal from anything that's holding you back.
Life begins once you're free of self-hate, comparison, and always wanting to please people who are always reminding you of your shortcomings.
When you start to trust your inner wisdom and stop limiting pieces of yourself, you begin to live a life full of freedom and joy.
Sometimes you have to break traditions to rebuild them to fit the life you want to live. Let's get started!!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Whitney. I’ve felt listened to and validated throughout my time. I’m lucky to have found someone great right off the bat to start my therapy journey with.
Whitney listens, she understands and refocuses everything back on how to make me better. I always feel like I am heard and I feel like I’m in a better place after talking to her.
Ms. Whitney is amazing! She really knows how to break down my feelings and help me understand them. She’s very responsive and makes me feel understood. Validated and has pointed me in the right direction to get help from my city’s resources. Thank you Whitney
Counseling with Whitney has been extremely helpful. She makes me feel understood, while offering suggestions to improve my life and mental health. She is so encouraging. I would absolutely recommend Whitney to a friend.
She is so awesome and makes me feel so much better!
In a short period of time Whitney has started to give me tools to take control of my life and move forward. I am not all the way there but I feel better
I am so grateful for Whitney. After experiencing a really traumatic experience and being unable to get into seeing a counselor face to face for several weeks, I turned to BetterHelp.
I was matched with Whitney who listened, understood, and appreciated my struggles in a way that never made me feel guilty or judged. She was consistent with offering advice, checked in without fail everyday, and really helped me to bridge the gap for me between therapy methods.
I would recommend her to anyone and am so grateful for her kindness and compassion when I felt so helpless and lost.
Whitney is kind, understanding, and supportive; she has helped me take control of my life! She has facilitated me through examining my behaviors, more openly communicating with the people in my life, and taking a moment to get to the root of my feelings. Whitney is the kind of counselor everyone deserves.
I have only had two session with Whitney, but already feel the a weight being lifted and am excited to continue our sessions! She is fantastic .
I loved Ms. Whitney!! Every issue I had, she helped me work threw it, helped me look at it in different ways, and offered multiple options for me to exercise with goals.
Whitney is amazing. She is compassionate and warm. I am thrilled to get started on my journey!
The sweetest woman! You’ll love working with her, she’s very understanding.
Shes wonderful! From her introduction I could tell she was going to be so easy to talk to and she is. She brings a lot of clarity to things I've been struggling with and she helps me to progress. Very lucky to have gotten matched with her.
Whitney is an amazing support system. She is insightful, kind, compassionate, understanding. You can tell she is in this line of work because she really cares. I so appreciate her and the time we have worked together, it has been incredibly helpful.
I’ve tried counseling a few times before with zero success. This time has been so different. Whitney is supportive and so encouraging. I finally feel like I’m on the right track to feel better.
