About me

I am a board certified and licensed professional counselor, a board certified-telemental health provider in North Carolina with over 3 years of experience, and a Licensed Ordained Pastor with over 20 years of experience. I have helped clients with a variety of mental health disorders and relationship issues including depression, anger management, anxiety, grief/loss, marital and family, and career challenges. I have also helped many people who have experienced trauma or emotional abuse.
I am a doctoral candidate in counselor education and supervision and have experience as an online graduate instructor for a CACREP accredited mental health counseling program. My passion as a compassionate and empathic professional counselor is to help clients cope, recover, and achieve the quality of life that demonstrates balance, mental health well-being, and a prosperous life experience.

My eclectic therapeutic approach incorporates client-centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. The psychotherapeutic approach used with my client’s is designed to help them realize a transformative living experience in three dimensions:

1) Psychological, reflecting changes in a client’s understanding of self;
2) Convictional, reflecting a fundamental change in the client’s belief from the truth that they come to know, and
3) Behavioral, a change in their lifestyle because of the revealed truth through a renewed mind.

My clients have found my counseling style as welcoming, nonjudgmental, and authentic for helping them overcome the presenting issues of concern. I look forward to supporting and helping you with the quality of care that you deserve and expect from a counseling professional.

I am also looking forward to working with you!

Mr. Darrisaw is blessed by God in his ability to listen, relate, and relay the word of God as it pertains to your situation and life. His own testimony severely helped me. He is empathetic but holds you accountable. I can not say enough good things about this incredible man of God!

Mr. Darrisaw has been a divinely placed counselor over my life and relationship. He listens extremely well, mediates between my partner and I, and has given incredible guidance on building our relationship on the foundation of Christ. God has given this man a calling to help people. His scriptural knowledge and application to mental health and relationships is truly God’s gift to this world. I am thankful to Mr. Darrisaw and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking counsel.

William is kind and compassionate, an empathetic listener. I appreciate his insight, experience and faith based approach to our sessions. He gave practical tools I could apply to my life and situations in a short amount of time, more so than the face to face counselors I have seen.
