We all have difficulties in our lives and sometimes we need help identifying and exploring them as well as learning tools to help address them and arrive at a new way of feeling and thinking. I have had my own challenges which enables me to ‘walk the walk not just talk the talk.’ I am a licensed mental health therapist in California and have been counseling for 8 years. I am compassionate, an empathetic listener, and I connect well with clients. I am nonjudgemental and don’t believe in labeling. My work has included the areas of career challenges, life transitions and adjustments, addiction recovery, anxiety, depression, LGBT+ and self-esteem concerns.
I have a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and my professional experience includes working at a nonprofit agency and a for profit facility. At both, I worked with a diverse population doing long-term and short-term therapies. My therapeutic style is an eclectic, flexible approach as I use tools from various practices depending on what is best for the client at the time and their therapy goals. CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused, and Positive Psychology are the practices that I draw from the most.
