About Me

We all have difficulties in our lives and sometimes we need help identifying and exploring them as well as learning tools to help address them and arrive at a new way of feeling and thinking. I have had my own challenges which enables me to ‘walk the walk not just talk the talk.’ I am a licensed mental health therapist in California and have been counseling for 8 years. I am compassionate, an empathetic listener, and I connect well with clients. I am nonjudgemental and don’t believe in labeling. My work has included the areas of career challenges, life transitions and adjustments, addiction recovery, anxiety, depression, LGBT+ and self-esteem concerns.

I have a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and my professional experience includes working at a nonprofit agency and a for profit facility. At both, I worked with a diverse population doing long-term and short-term therapies. My therapeutic style is an eclectic, flexible approach as I use tools from various practices depending on what is best for the client at the time and their therapy goals. CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused, and Positive Psychology are the practices that I draw from the most.

Whether you seek short term or long term therapy, my goal is to work with you to help you restore and strengthen your well being resulting in a happier life. Making changes and seeking help can seem over whelming, but you’ve come this far and you’re reading this, so why take the next step? Contact me and we’ll go from there. We can work together to help you reach your goals.

William gives a great perspective on the reality of ongoing situations and poses alternative ideas and suggestions in the forms of questions in order to have self discovery of what you need to do going forward.

Even though I only started working with William today, I really like how we are going to do weekly chats.

We haven't been communicating that long yet but William had been fantastic with communicating and expressing positive thoughts and suggestions. I am looking forward to some sessions coming up and would recommend him based on our interactions thus far.
