Hi, nice to meet you, and welcome to a new world of self-discovery.
I am a licensed clinical social worker living in the state of Georgia, with about ten years of experience in the field of social work and I love what I do.
I have been a case manager, an advocate, a mediator, an active learner, an ally, and several different hats for all of my clients throughout the years.
I have worked with individuals struggling with issues of violence, abuse, trauma, substance use, parental issues, legal issues, financial issues, OCD, ODD, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, severe anxiety disorders, and severe depression.
At times it can feel like the list can go on and on however, I am here to tell you that everyone has a tool kit which is why it is important to have someone help you identify what your specific tools are.
I am clear that there is no age range that I have ever been opposed to working with and have worked with clients as young as age 8 to as vintage as 79.
My approach to therapy is warm and direct.
It is client-centered, solution-focused on cognitive behaviors with a mix of trauma-informed care and meeting you, where you are at.
In other words, I am here to help you, as you are; together we will build you up by finding your strengths.
Why do I do this work? Because I love what I do.
Everyone has strengths and together we can discuss ways to tap into those strengths when depression and anxiety seem to be an arm's length away.
Therapy should be tailored to your specific needs, and that is what you will find in our sessions together.
I am available by phone, video, and messaging.
I truly look forward to meeting and working with you.
