About Me

Hello, I’m Yolanda Thomas LPC. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Wisconsin. I have worked in the mental health field for over 5 years and have been practicing as a therapist for 3 years. If you are experiencing hardships relating to anxiety, depression, life changes, or trauma, do not hesitate to reach out to me. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in conjunction with Narrative Therapy to assist you in telling your story and identifying how to change the outcome or rewrite the narrative.

Everyone has a time when they need support and struggle with asking for help. I know this from my own experience and interactions with others. When someone comes to me, I want to be sure that they know that I understand first the difficulty in deciding to ask for help and second that they feel safe enough to trust me with their story, thoughts, and emotions.

Yolanda was the best!! She really listens to me and I’m so sad i can’t afford to keep doing therapy with her.

Yolanda is an empathetic counselor who well balances listening and providing feedback. She clearly states what she is hearing and her thoughts/observations with both candor and kindness. I only had the opportunity to speak with her once, but in that time she gave me a lot of perspective. I only discontinued seeing her because I was able to reconnect with my former therapist at her new practice, and my sessions with her (my previous therapist) were ongoing.

I HIGHLY recommend Yolanda as a therapist.

Yolanda is kind and patient. She is extremely helpful and doesnt push. I am an open person so I guess that helps. But I feel comfortable to be so open.

Appreciated Yolanda being patient with me even though I’m not comfortable with therapy with counselors and even though we did everything through text she was patient and attentive. Would recommend.
