Hello, my name is Yolanda. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker trained and experienced in several forms of evidence-based therapy. I have nine years of counseling experience in various treatment settings with adults impacted by depression, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD or trauma related symptoms, addiction, family dysfunction, relationship issues, and anger management difficulties. I have also worked with many clients seeking help to cope with general stress due to life circumstances. I have been effective in helping clients to reduce their symptoms, achieve higher levels of functioning, improved coping, better self-esteem, self-confidence, and improved interpersonal relationships. My goal is to help my clients enjoy an overall happier, healthier, and a more fulfilling quality of life.
My counseling style is down to earth and collaborative. I do not have a one size fits all approach. Rather, I find it extremely important to work alongside you to assess what you’d like help with and what your desired outcomes are in order to provide the best combination of techniques and intervention to help you reach your goals. You are the expert on your life. I bring the clinical expertise to help guide you to the solutions you are looking for.
I commend you for taking this courageous step, whether it is your first time or your 50th. We all have our journeys in life, and I am honored to play a helping role in yours. If you’re ready to do the work, I’m right there with you. I look forward to seeing some of the changes that await you.
**A NOTE TO ALL NEW CLIENTS: I am currently only offering messaging as well as live phone and chat sessions. I will be resuming live video sessions in mid October. This will also be accompanied by a shift in some of my current available hours. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Yolanda listens and helps me work through things at my own pace, yet still holds me accountable for my growth. She responds quickly and always provides relevant feedback.
A lot of my anxiety about therapy was "wasting my therapist's time," afraid I was saying too much about the wrong things. I feel extremely comfortable sharing as much as I feel I need to about any topic with Yolanda. It never feels like I am 'Too much.'
Yolanda is very warm, easy to talk to, and very quick to respond to any need I have. She’s been great at helping me work through my issues.
Yolanda is a great counselor. She actively reads/listens, adds value to the conversation by responding in depth, and asks questions that help you evaluate on your own. She's a compassionate, qualified professional - you would be lucky to be matched with her!
If you are looking for a non-bias and factual advisor then this is the right person. Yolanda has listened to my troubles and dilemmas and broke it down and given me great guidance. I would highly recommend her for relationship and motivational help.
I am so grateful to have Yolanda guide me through a rough time of my life. I was completely new to therapy, but working with Yolanda is a smooth sail. She always analyzes my messages concisely and shares many valuable insights. I often bring up about my experience working with Yolanda with my friends because I genuinely feel the positive impact of her words. To quote my best friend whom I told my therapy experience: "Yolanda is the real MVP!"
