Zachariah Crooks, LMHC
About me
Hello! I’m Zachariah K. Crooks, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Gestalt Therapist, Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist, and Energy Psychologist with a deep passion for holistic and spiritual healing. My journey in the mental health field has been driven by a desire to help others find healing, peace, and a sense of wholeness in their lives.
I have a diverse background in various therapeutic approaches that allow me to tailor my methods to each individual’s unique needs. With advanced training in Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy and Gestalt Therapy, I focus on uncovering and addressing the root causes of anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and addictive behaviors. I believe that true healing happens when we go beyond just treating symptoms and work on the deeper patterns that affect our emotional and mental well-being.
In my practice, I combine traditional counseling techniques with holistic modalities such as Energy Psychology and Breathwork. These integrative approaches help my clients to release old traumas, reframe negative beliefs, and cultivate new, positive patterns that support lasting change. Whether you're struggling with past wounds, seeking to overcome current challenges, or wanting to connect more deeply with your inner self, I’m here to support you on your journey.
I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and safe space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without judgment. My goal is to empower you to take charge of your healing process, build resilience, and move toward a more fulfilling and balanced life. I look forward to working with you and helping you discover the tools and insights needed to thrive.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Zachariah Crooks. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Dr Zach has been engaging from the beginning of our sessions. He addresses my concerns and listens. He shared deeper thoughts after a productive session later in the week. That commitment to my mental health care meant that I was partnered with a person, not a robot or a screen. In present times, it is easier to be desensitized and numb to feelings, people, and major events in one's life. Dr. Zach pointed out some things that I had minimized and shined the spotlight on my healing journey. He doesn't provide me with any magic ideas, but strategically gives questions to ponder on my own time. I have choices in my life that prior to being in session with him that I didn't realize that I had the freedom to choose.

Zachariah is a great therapist. I feel like he listens to me and offers helpful solutions to help me navigate the challenges I'm having. I appreciate how he summarizes the sessions afterwards and provides me with helpful journal prompts to get through until we meet again.

Zachariah Crooks lets each session go where it needs to go. He does not impose an agenda on the sessions. He asks probing questions in response to what you bring to the session.
I would recommend Zachariah to anyone who wants to do the work to grow and become healthier.
