About me

My name is Zach and I am honored you are interested in looking into me as a potential therapist! I am a licensed counselor in Pennsylvania and I have have been working as a mental health and substance abuse counselor for the last seven years. Helping people to gain the skills and abilities they need to help them build a better life for themselves is my goal.

I have worked in many different counseling fields in the last seven years, but my main areas of focus include: trauma, abuse, coping with life changes, addiction counseling, PTSD, depression, anxiety, phobias, and dealing with grief and loss. In addition, I am currently getting my specialization in trauma and abuse counseling.

As a counselor, I have been described by my former clients as being a “warm and interactive therapist who is willing to help his client's succeed in meeting their goals while respecting their unique life challenges”. I believe in unconditional positive regard for my clients and as such, I refrain from labels and judgment and instead deal with my clients with compassion and sensitivity.

Simply by seeking out help, you are taking a courageous and difficult step. While I may have the training you are seeking, you are the expert on the events in your life. True counseling is a two (or more) person job. I can lead you on the path you want to go and help guide you through life's pitfalls. I look forward to making this journey with you!

*Please note that if you are in need of a counselor to write official documentation for parole officers, courts of law, or employers, I do not offer this service to clients.

Zachary is so kind. I’m very fortunate to have been matched with him as my therapist. Admittedly, I am not very skilled at opening up and knowing where to start but Zachary always knows exactly what questions to ask to engage in those difficult conversations in the most seamless way. He instantly was able to pinpoint exactly what goals I wanted to focus on during our sessions and steps to begin accomplishing said goals. I never feel pressured; I always feel heard, understood, and validated.
