Life can get really complicated! Sometimes, we’re not sure what the next step should be or how to solve the problem in front of us. It can feel like we’re stuck, lost, alone, or even hopeless. I am glad you are here!
I have a Master's in Social Work and am a licensed therapist. I have had experience in several settings including private practice, psychiatric and hospital settings, law enforcement, domestic violence and human trafficking, and public education. In my practice, I use a combination of talk therapy, and body- focused approaches to organically clear stress so that your mind and body can settle into safety and comfort. Thoughts, patterns, and behaviors will naturally change so you can start to feel like yourself again. You can make changes and create the life you want, whether that includes a new career or life path, healthier relationships, or starting a family.
I use body-focused or somatic therapies to get to the root of your struggles. Connecting with your body allows you to make sense of emotional blocks. Talk therapy allows you to "connect the dots" for further understanding. You will be amazed at what your body is holding onto and how it can be connected to your current mental distress or situation. The goal is to connect your whole self in order to resolve issues and help you bloom into your best self. This process can make you feel vulnerable, but making sure that you feel safe, understood, and supported is my highest priority. I look forward to working with you and helping you to cultivate the life that you deserve!
