Our Purpose for Sharing this Information: Sharing this data allows us to measure and optimize the effectiveness of our ads. This enables us to reach more people who may be looking for mental health support while minimizing our advertising costs, which helps us reduce downstream costs to our members.
Meta
According to the “How do we use your information?” section of Meta’s Privacy Policy, Meta may use information to provide a personalized experience to you, including ads, as well as for other purposes such as: promoting safety, security, and integrity; providing measurement, analytics, and business services; communicating with you; and researching and innovating for social good. For some purposes, Meta uses information across its products and across your devices.
According to the “How do we share information with third parties?” section of Meta’s Privacy Policy, Meta does not “sell any of your information to anyone,” but may share your information with Partners, Vendors, Service Providers, and Third Parties. Meta requires all such entities to follow its rules governing the use and disclose the information Meta provides.
TikTok
According to the “How We Use Your Information” section of TikTok’s Privacy Policy, TikTok uses your information to: operate and administer its services; review, support, improve and develop its services, and train, test and improve technology, such as machine learning models and algorithms; personalize and customize certain features and content; provide TikTok’s shopping features; promote TikTok’s and third-party products and services through marketing campaigns; provide and improve its advertising services and measure the effectiveness of its ads; support the social functions of TikTok; infer additional information about you, such as your age, gender, and interests; maintain and enhance the safety, security, and stability of its services; verify your identity or age in order to use certain features, such as livestream or verified accounts; communicate with you; enforce its terms of service, community guidelines and other conditions and policies; comply with its legal obligations and defend its legal rights; for any other purposes disclosed to you at the time it collects your information or with your consent; combine information for any of the foregoing purposes; aggregate or de-identify information it collects.
According to the “How We Share Your Information” section of TikTok’s Privacy Policy, TikTok may share personal data with service providers and business partners, for example: TT Commerce & Global Services LLC and its affiliates, to facilitate a global and interoperable experience, and for other permitted business purposes; payment processors and transaction fulfillment providers; customer and technical support providers; advertising marketing, and analytics partners; users of TikTok’s analytics services, who may receive aggregated statistics and insights to understand user engagement; sellers and their service providers; third-party platforms and partners. TikTok may also share personal data within its corporate group; in connection with a sale, merger, or other business transfer in connection with a corporate transaction; for legal reasons such as responding to subpoenas, legal process, government requests, law enforcement inquiries, as well as to enforce the platform’s terms and comply with any applicable law; with other users and the public, based on your privacy settings; with independent researchers; and with your consent or at your direction.
Snap
According to the “How We Use Your Information” section of Snap’s Privacy Policy, Snap may use information to develop new features, operate the products, personalize and contextualize the customer’s experience, provide security for Snap Services, provide relevant ads, contact users about new features and promotions, and enforce Snap’s Terms, Policies, and other legal obligations.
According to the Snap and Ads section of the Snap Privacy Policy, Snap collects and infers certain information about users for the purpose of providing relevant and personalized ads. Specifically, Snap collects your age and country/language when you register an account. Based on your activity on the platform, Snap infers certain data points about your age, gender, interests, and friends, and shows you ads based on those inferred characteristics.
According to the “How We Share Information” section of Snap’s Privacy Policy, Snap may share your information with other Snapchatters, business partners, and affiliates within the Snap Inc. family of companies. Additionally, Snap shares information about you with third parties in the following ways: to allow service providers to perform services on Snap’s behalf such as facilitating payments and measuring and optimizing ad performance; with business partners that provide services and functionality on Snap’s services; to prevent fraud; for legal, safety, and security reasons; and if Snap is involved with a merger or acquisition.
According to the “How We Use Information” section of Reddit’s Privacy Policy, Reddit may use information about you to provide Reddit Services, personalized content, customer service, and advertisements. Reddit also uses personal information to: protect user safety and platform security, develop new Services, monitor usage trends, and communicate with users about new products, services, and administrative matters, security alerts and technical notices.
According to the “How We Share Information” section of Reddit’s Privacy Policy, Reddit may share your personal information with linked services, such as if you link your Reddit account with a third-party service, with Reddit vendors, consultants, and other service providers who process your data on Reddit’s behalf, with government and law enforcement agencies to satisfy Reddit’s legal obligations, to prevent imminent and serious bodily harm in an emergency situation, to enforce Reddit’s policies and rights, and with Reddit affiliates operating under common control and ownership.
According to the “How We Use Your Data” section of LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy, LinkedIn may use your data to provide, personalize, and improve their services, such as connecting with others, job recommendations, and tailored content. This includes using your profile, activity, and interactions to suggest connections, recommend skills, and show relevant ads. LinkedIn utilizes personal data to offer personalized content, career recommendations, and relevant ads, as well as to develop and improve its services with AI models. LinkedIn may also use your data to develop new features, enhance security, and provide customer support. For premium services, your profile may be shared with businesses for recruitment or sales purposes, unless you opt out. You can control your communication preferences and advertising settings.
According to the “How We Share Information” section of LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy, LinkedIn may share your data to provide and enhance its services, including making your profile and posts visible to others according to your settings. This may include showing your posts, likes, comments, and profile details to your connections or the public, and sharing data with employers or organizations using LinkedIn’s enterprise services. LinkedIn also allows you to link your account with third-party services, which may access some of your profile data. Additionally, LinkedIn shares data with its affiliates and service providers to support its operations, such as for customer support or fraud detection. Your data may also be disclosed if required by law or in response to legal requests, to protect the safety and security of LinkedIn and its members, or in the case of a sale or merger of the business.
According to the “How We Use Your Data” section of Pinterest’s Privacy Policy, Pinterest collects and uses your information to personalize content, customize and improve ad performance, protect user safety, and platform security. Additionally, Pinterest may use your location information to customize your experience. They also use your data for research, analytics, and to enhance their technology, including AI and machine learning models.
According to the “How We Share Information” section of Pinterest’s Privacy Policy, any public content you post on Pinterest, like boards and Pins, can be seen by anyone. Pinterest may also share your information with third parties to see how Pins are shared or what’s popular. If you link your Pinterest account to other services, Pinterest will share this information with those services. Your data may also be used for advertising, both on and off Pinterest. Pinterest may also share information with vendors, for legal, safety and security reasons and if it were involved in a transaction like a merger or acquisition.
