My name is Aaron Landry, I am an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have been practicing for over 15 years and I am currently licensed in both Maine and Florida. I have worked with the entire spectrum of the population from children to the older adults. I have experience working with and helping people recover from depression, anxiety, stress related disorders, bi-polar disorder, divorce and custody issues.
It is my firm belief that everyone feels overwhelmed from time to time and could benefit from having a neutral person to talk to without judgement. I also believe that everyone is capable of recovery and should be afforded the opportunity to lead their best life. I practice cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy. My goal is to build a professional relationship with my clients with the sole purpose of working together to solve what it is that they feel is a problem in their life, or simply to listen if someone needs to process out loud while they organize their life or work through a transition. My emphasis is starting and adapting where you feel most comfortable. Need help? Let's talk.

My husband and I are so pleased with the marriage counseling service Aaron provided us. With 10 years in marriage we needed a little re-adjusting on communication and Aaron helped guide us to newer ways to hear each other out. We definitely recommend Aaron Landry as a marriage counselor.
Aaron is exceptional. He is a great listener, he validates my feelings, and challenges me to grow. He gives me valuable, tangible tools that I can put to use. I couldn't ask for more.
Aaron does a great job listening and really processing what I have to say before responding. I always feel like his responses are relevant and calculated rather than canned or generic.
I have only had a couple sessions with Aaron but feel as though he understands our situation and listens and offers very sound ideas on how to handle the problems in a more productive way. Highly recommend his services.
When I first signed up for BetterHelp, I was skeptical. I signed up for online therapy due to the coronavirus. I was scared, obsessing, and spiraling fast.
Aaron immediately knew what style of counseling would work best for me and sent me a worksheet to work on until I saw him next.
In the meantime, I started spiraling again so I signed up for webinars and sent him a little note telling him how I was feeling.
Soon after, he sent me a few reassuring messages that really stuck with me and gave me hope.
I’ve been in traditional CBT for almost 15 years and this is my first time actually being able to see my end goal and the steps I need to take to get there.
I’m so glad I signed up for this.
Aaron is very supportive, both in trying to find ways and times that would work for both of us to meet - and also in his friendly but professional listening and questioning style. The 'homework' he set also helped me to reflect on what we talked about in the session and the check ins in-between sessions are a nice touch, it was reassuring to know that he was holding me in his mind until the next session.
Even after a few sessions with Aaron, I felt like I had clarity on many things that had previously been somewhat foggy in my mind. I would definitely recommend him as a counselor!
I feel heard. Aaron helps me to see that I am someone worthy of being prioritized and trusted. That's very difficult in my reality of other people consistently questioning my judgement and decision-making ability. Aaron helps me to break down the issues and then make sure I am focusing on myself too. I highly recommend him.
