Adam Hunt, LCSW
About me
Depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma can make life feel heavy, exhausting, and confusing. A lot of people come to therapy believing something is “wrong” with them. I don’t see it that way. I see a nervous system and a mind that have been doing their best to protect you—even if those strategies are now keeping you stuck.
My style is practical and depth-oriented. We’ll get clear on the patterns that are fueling the problem (thought loops, avoidance, shutdown, people-pleasing, self-criticism), and we’ll build skills you can use in real life—not just insight that sounds good in session. I primarily use ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), along with CBT and solution-focused strategies, and I tailor the approach to you rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all plan.
My goal isn’t for you to be in therapy forever. It’s to help you build psychological flexibility, feel more grounded and capable, and walk away with tools you can keep using long after we’re done.
