Are you ready to create meaningful change in your life? Do you worry about your own effectiveness as an individual, partner or caregiver? Is it a challenge for you to respond to life stressors calmly and appropriately in a manner that promotes a positive view of self? My goal is to help spare you undue suffering so that you can meet or exceed your desired level of functioning and have the life that you deserve.
For nearly 10 years I have had the pleasure of helping adults, families and young people who attend therapy. My integrative therapeutic approach is tailored to meet the needs of my clients and draws upon a variety of treatment modalities which include: person-centered, feedback-informed, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, behavioral modification, trauma-focused, cognitive-behavioral, rational-emotive and dialectical-behavioral therapies.
With approximately 10,000 hours clinical experience I have had the opportunity to assist clients of all ages. My clients have helped me to build a reputation for developing quick rapport and a strong therapeutic alliance, by offering respect, unconditional positive regard, and a warm supportive counseling environment. My understanding of AD/HD, anxiety, and the ability to teach clients how to work through anger/stress are areas of strength. I have led anger management groups in clinical practice and in community settings. I am also comfortable working with survivors of sexual assault/abuse, and have additional training in acceptance and commitment therapy.
It is my belief that a therapeutic relationship is most beneficial when it is personal and authentic. I enjoy using humor to share stories relevant to your individual needs, which can serve to enrich the counseling experience by adding color and warmth. I strive to provide my clients with the opportunity to be heard and tell their story in a private, secure setting free from judgment. I commend you for making an important first step and seeking additional support at this time.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Adam Williams. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Adam, is it very helpful and then assisting me on my journey. He listens and understands how to help me make sense of my thoughts.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without him. Thank you, Adam. Talk to you again really soon.
I was very hesitant to begin therapy but I recognized I was in crisis. Now 3 months into therapy I look forward to our sessions and my negative perspective has been overcome. Adam has helped me change my life into a positive focus. He is relatable, patient and will understand you. Best decision I've made in years was beginning my talks with Adam.
Very honest and easy to talknto
I completely recommend Adam.
Adam is amazing. He is kind, thoughtful, and listens intently.
Adam often shares parts of his own life to connect to yours- which is often not a technique many therapists tend to use anymore. I personally LOVE that tactic about him. It connects me to him, makes me feel heard, and I know that when he is challenging me to adapt to a harmful circumstance; that he is recommend what is best for me.
Nobody wants a therapist who acts like a know-it-all, or thinks they are the only ones with the correct tactics to handle life. Adam is great at working gently with his clients to unravel hurtful feelings and hear what you think might work for you.
Seriously, if you’re looking for someone in your corner- Mr. Williams is your guy.
Adam continues to interact and help me in great discussions.
Adam is a fantastic therapist. He really hears me and knows what I’m trying to communicate. He allows me space to speak about exactly how I’m feeling while being both challenged but not attacked.
Adam is excellent and has helped me enormously.
I love Adam. He’s been beyond helpful md amazing
He gives a great context to what I am going through and how to handle it all
We are still in the beginning stages (only 3 appointments) but Adam has already been so wonderful and helpful. This is my first time in therapy and Adam had me feeling at ease immediately. I'm really loving therapy and benefiting from my conversations with Adam.
Adam is an amazing therapist. From day one, Adam was attentive and provided great support and advice. He needed very little time to fully assess my needs, he gives sound reasoning and is a calm spirit. He is extremely smart, and listens intently. He remembers things about each one of our sessions and I value our time.
Adam is wonderful. He listens effectively, empathizes and offers some great insights and action steps to help cope.
Dr. Adam is so responsive and thoughtful. He helps calm my anxiety and triggers reflection on my part from perspectives I’m not used to seeing.
Words cannot express how appreciative I am of Adam as my therapist. Not only does he provide a safe space that is professional, but he also prioritizes encouraging, insightful, realistic, and very empathetic responses which are always on the mark (even before I know what that mark is). Adam makes it a priority to actively listen, but most importantly, his experience allows him to reflect on what you may not be saying with your words - that is so profound, and important for me, as an individual.
Again, I cannot say enough to express how awesome Adam is! Such an inspiration, and truly someone who provides the human aspect to counseling. Definitely someone you can trust with your reflections and also have a coffee chat with too!
He makes this introspective journey worth it
I've been with Adam for a few years now, he's calm, insightful, and really helpful, especially for young adults. 100% recommended
Adam is supportive and understanding! He helps encourage me to step out of my comfort zone but in a good way. He also helps me to see things from other view points and encourages my growth as a person. He is supportive in all the avenues of my life, not just my chief complaint! So thankful for this service and for him!!!!!!
