About me

Everybody, sometimes, needs some support in overcoming life's challenges. A non-judgmental, supportive and confidential space can be really helpful.

My name is Victoria, I facilitate such a safe space, where we can, collaboratively, explore your own individual ways to acknowledge difficulties, express your feelings, and clarify your choices, values and meaning. So you can become more resourceful, and creative, improving your coping strategies, and thereby gaining a greater sense of freedom and lead a happier life.

As well as working in Private Practice, I have more than 5 years of experience working with creativity to facilitate mental wellbeing; for the NHS foundation trust: Oasis, and in the charity sector for Creative Support.

I have moover 10 years of experience supporting people to recover from addictive behaviours, one to one, in treatment centres and in prison.

I have also supported artists in their creativity since 1997, facilitating groups, and one to one. I hold an MA and BA in Fine Art and I am a practicing artist.

I currently work part time in an Employee Assistance Program: WPO, where I specialize in online and telephonic counselling.

I have a regular yoga practice, and I trained as yoga teacher, in Rishikesh, India in 2012.

All of this experience, of course, informs and enriches my counselling practice.

Amazed at how much we cover and process during the session . I feel clearer and have direction at the end of the session. I also feel looked after, respected and gain insight at the end of sessions

Written on Mar 27, 2024 after therapy with Adela for 2 weeks on issues concerning stress, anxiety, relationship issues, grief, and parenting issues

I have been working with a Adela for a couple of months now, and she is excellent. I sought help in the wake of the death of a parent, and she has helped me process this painful loss. She also has a lot of experience working with addiction issues, which is very helpful to me in navigating relationships with loved ones who are struggling with addiction. She is supportive and insightful without ever being overbearing. Ten out of ten stars!

I was very lucky to have found Adela during a period of enormous professional difficulty which was spilling over into my personal life. Adela listened and listened more and helped me step back and ask myself the questions that helped me through. Adela is understanding, kind and caring with a world of experience to share.
