“My philosophy on mental health”
I recognize and respect the uniqueness of each individual. All individuals deserve a supportive and therapeutic environment to express their own uniqueness. Mental illness is a disease and not the individual, not their personality, and not their fate & future. The treatment of mental health must focus on the wellness of the whole person to be effective. The ultimate goal in treating mental health is to create a positive attitude toward self, others, and society in general.
