About me

Welcome to the beginning of a new journey! My name is Aimee Loyd and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed in the state of Louisiana. I attended Bellevue University, where I received an MS degree in Clinical Counseling in 2016. I have a great deal of experience working with individuals battling depression, anxiety, substance abuse, low self esteem, and relationship issues.

My goal is to help my clients find their way to becoming their best selves. Therefore, my style is a collaborative approach: both counselor and client working towards a goal that is best for the client. My goal is to allow you, the client, to be a part of the process by sharing your personal experiences, telling me what has or hasn't worked for you in the past, and to guide you to finding what works best.

Congratulations on taking the first step towards a better you! Let's go on this journey together!

Ms. Aimee is great. I struggle with anxiety and boundaries amongst other things and she has helped me to understand a lot about those things and myself. She offers helpful solutions when needed and she makes me feel heard and supported when it’s needed.

Aimee, listens to everything you say and understands. She clarity’s what you have expressed to her and has an open ear to what your concerns are. Aimee also gives recommendations on things that may benefit you in and through life. I find I have peace after my sessions with her.

I feel like she listens attentively and gives me great responses to help me have those “ah ha” moments where I can see and understand varying perspectives and even better understand my own perspective. I’m very happy with Aimee as my counselor.
