Hello, I am Ajila pronounced (Ah-Ji-Lay) I have a Master's degree in Social Work and have attained my Licence in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) have been doing therapy for 16 years. I focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I have found that this form of therapy is very helpful. With CBT I tend to provide homework because, therapy isn't for the therapist to fix things, therapy is for me to provide you with the tools that can you get to the place you want to be. Homework helps you between sessions to work on things we discussed during our sessions. I approach each individual with respect and openness to listening to their story and use a strengths based approach to identify goals and strategies to address concerns. My scope of practice is working with adults, homeless, veterans and geriatric individuals. I am looking forward to working with you.

I have been with Ajila for two weeks now. She makes me feel heard and gives me different ways to work through my struggles. She helps me see all sides and tries to help me see what truly bothers me and how to work through it.

This is the first time that I've ever sought out therapy and it was certainly one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. Ajila has been a godsend and incredible help in my overcoming depression/overwhelm. In just one month, the tools that she has provided me has helped me with mental clarity, focus, and ability to take on more in my life. I was able to restart rigorous interview processes that I was far too burned out to tackle. The homework / exercises that she recommends are incredible in achieving clarity on goals that I would like to achieve in the future, and to teach me how to manage stress.
Now that I'm able to take on more, Ajila is helping me with personal relationships and developing communication skills. She's helped me be at peace with a lot of the negative things (these are just challenges that occur throughout life), and to restore my optimistic personality. A lot of the tools that she's recommended and provided are invaluable and will be in my toolkit for the rest of my life. I highly recommend Ajila Harris as a therapist, as she has helped me immensely with my mental health.

I think like anyone, I was a bit nervous to start therapy. Ajila makes me feel very comfortable, safe, and listened to.
