About me

I am Alex Blankenstein. I am a devoted husband, father of 3 boys, therapist, strong mind coach, ultra-endurance athlete, backcountry adventurer, Halloween enthusiast, aspiring carpenter, mediocre comedian, backyard “chickeneer”, and oatmeal connoisseur.

You might say that I love pushing my limits and being creative in many areas of life. I love to see what I am capable of.

My personal journey has led me from a place of shame and self-doubt into a life of values-oriented confidence and growth. Using a proven process of values clarification, self-regulation, and a re-writing of those limiting beliefs, I am adept at helping people get unstuck from old stories and to stop doing the things that don’t move them forward toward the best version of themselves.

From teens to adults, I specialize in the realms of growth mindset, trauma healing, understanding compulsive sexual behavior, and self-led sexual health. I have come to see myself as a merchant of hope for those who doubt themselves but who want to leave their small stories, dance with fear, and grow into something bigger and more beautiful.

My mission is for everyone to find acceptance and belonging for all parts of themselves, to feel whole, to be empowered, and to live free
