Alexander Munn, BACP
About me
Life comes with unavoidable challenges, what we can choose is how we approach and respond to them. Sometimes what's needed is a safe and supportive environment, a place to be heard.
You might be feeling stuck and overwhelmed, lacking purpose and a sense of meaning, or struggling with something specific such as relationship issues, stress and anxiety, addiction, or depression. Perhaps there are issues from the past that you'd like to explore, or develop strategies for a brighter future. Whatever it is you're currently experiencing, I am here to help.
My aim is to provide you with a supportive, empathic and collaborative space where we work together to help you find what's needed. My personal approach is based upon non-judgement, confidentiality and respect, it's not my role to tell you how to live, but to help you explore your experiences, difficulties and struggles, and provide the time and space to work through them.
For therapy to be effective, It's important that you find someone you feel comfortable working with. If we feel like a good fit, then together we will create that supportive environment which will be available to you on a regular basis. I am trained in Integrative Counselling which means I don't take a 'one size fits all' approach to therapy, but draw upon a variety of methods to suit your individual situation and needs. Alongside my private practice, I also have experience of working with substance abuse and in an educational setting.
I am a fully insured member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). As a member of the BACP, my work is guided by its ethical framework and professional standards.
Beyond my experience and qualifications, I hope to form a meaningful, human and therapeutic connection that helps you in whatever way necessary.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Alexander Munn. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Alex’s support has been first class — thoroughly enjoyed the safe space he created from the outset, and the thought and attention he brings to each session. He really listened to what I was after from my sessions in terms of peer mentality and positive challenge, and he’s adapted his style to deliver that in all our conversations.
I’ve really rated my time with Alex amongst other therapists I’ve seen, and couldn’t recommend him enough.
