About me

Hello! I am Alexandra Seng and am a licensed clinical mental health counselor. I go by my nickname Alex. I came to better help with the desire to continue helping individuals from all walks of life who are experiencing struggles/s in an area of life or maybe even different areas of life that have become overwhelming. I have the knowledge and experience working with intimate partner violence/domestic violence, trauma/s be it simple versus complex trauma, survivors, and aggressors of different types of abuse (i.e., physical, psychological, sexual). Additionally, I feel comfortable and have experience working with substance use and behavioral addictions, psychosis, mood disorders as well as depression and anxiety related disorders. Finally, I really enjoy working with couples and adults.
For those clients who are looking for spiritual or religious support or counseling, I can provide this but only if requested by the client.
For many years, during the completion of my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I have developed an ambition and great interest working with sexual health. Now, sexual health is a broad field that has various foci – examples are sexual dysfunctions, infidelity/extramarital affairs, sexual addictions/paraphilias, sexual trauma/abuse, etc. I have been focusing on making this a niche, and am open to working with sexual health related struggles.
I would like to share with you that I feel open to working with anyone with any type of sexual orientation, gender identity, religious affiliation, spirituality, race/cultural identity, and what not. Having lived and grown up in Germany, and visited all over Europe, as well as experienced many different backgrounds I appreciate the differences that bring people together. I love learning from individuals and doing my own research on individuals’ backgrounds, its very fascinating.
On a more personal note, I have experienced my own struggles in my journey of life that has led me to become a mental health professional, and continue to on this journey in recovery, and feel privileged to help and guide others in their journeys. I would love to be part of your journey in recovery and growth! If you are interested in allowing me to be part of your healing, feel free to reach out and let’s see if we can be a good fit for another especially in the client therapist relationship. I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship to provide a safe and collaborative space that can bring healing.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Alexandra Seng. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I had two sessions (my first two sessions with better help) that this therapist did not show up to. I got no response during my seduled sessions. Not very satisfied with this service.
