About me

Hello, my name is Alexis and it’s so nice to connect with you. This is a safe confidential space and it's all about you as you can talk as much or as little as is your preference, so no pressure as we will take it at your pace.

I work with children, teenagers, adults, couples and undertake relationship counselling.

Currently my working environments are within doctors’ surgeries, schools and in my office face to face. I am a fully qualified counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work for other counselling organisations taking on referrals as and when I am needed.

My studies started working with children where I achieved a diploma in childcare. I also studied and worked on the ‘grief team’ for a company for many years. With over 21 years of mental health training and experience and over 20 years of working with deaf people I have become fluent in British sign language level 6.

Over the years I have worked with many people who have had a variety of complex issues and living situations.

I’ve had a couple of sessions with Alexis so far and she has been really helpful and made me feel comfortable to open up

Written on Apr 15, 2026 after therapy with Alexis for 2 weeks on issues concerning stress, anxiety, self esteem, coping with life changes, and adhd

Alexis is incredibly kind and compassionate, she always reciprocates and adjusts with the particular feeling of each individual session, and she has an incredibly wide knowledge base and is always able to help with and respond to any situations or feelings and thoughts I have! I would recommend her to anyone, as she has always made me incredibly comfortable, even when I was initially very nervous about starting therapy.

Alexis has helped me a tremendous amount since we first came into contact. She is such a lovely and easy to talk to person, she feels more like a friend than a therapist. She’s helped me understand so much and I’m so grateful for everything she has done. I couldn’t recommend her more :)

I have only had a few sessions with Alexis, but everything has been great up to this point. From the moment I met her over a video chat, she immediately made me feel comfortable and welcome. She gives plenty of great advice and offers a new perspective on things. She sometimes draws on her own personal experience which actually makes the experience feel much more personable. I used to get nervous to start therapy, but she always makes my mind feel at ease.

Alexis is one of the most amazing human beings who will always stay in my heart. Dealing with the things I had in my head and trying to understand the meaning of everything happening for a reason. I do believe it even if sometimes it is really hard to see. It makes it easier when I believe she came into my life not accidentally. There are no words to express how grateful I am for her support kindness respect strength and wisdom. Thank you Alexis for believing in me for being you. You are one of the most beautiful souls I know and that is healing. One of the most powerful women I know. A great therapist. Because of you I know I can do anything. I know I am never alone and that good exists.
