About me
As an Oregon Board certified Counselor I have worked passionately for over twenty years in the field of Christian ministry, pastoral counsel, workshop facilitation, life coaching and as a behavioral therapist, prior to starting my private practice. I do not hold fast to 'religion' but would describe myself as being spiritual. Much of my work has focused on women in transition, domestic violence and finding a true sense of spirituality and purpose, with a particularly keen interest for families in crisis. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges. I have also worked extensively with people who have experienced physical trauma and emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating every person with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. My beliefs do not come to the fore in my counseling approach as I believe that this is the client's time and it should center around them. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive counseling. I apply my personal experiences and multicultural background to my professional counseling practices with strong emphasis on a holistic and person-centered approach. As such, I tailor my dialog and treatment plan to meet the unique and specific needs of each individual client.
It takes a great deal of courage to seek a more fulfilling, happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Alicia Beephan. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I have been going through a lot and was matched with Alicia Beephan as my counselor. She is kind, compassionate, straight forward and non judgmental! She has helped me through a difficult time in my life. Also she is a Christian which is a big plus because I am also , and I truly believe that through her guidance and God’s power I am healing!
In the past I’ve struggled with finding a therapist that I felt wasn’t judge mental. After meeting with Alicia I found that she is not only non judge mental but very open minded. She always listens intently and responds with her opinion in such a way that makes me feel like she genuinely cares. I feel like I can talk to her about anything and get her honest feedback. I’m very happy to have connected with Alicia!
After my sessions with Alicia I feel hopeful and confident in the path I’m following.
She gives me plenty of space to explore my feelings and always has sensitive and constructive input.
Dr Beephan is an excellent listener. I feel like she understood my issues in our first visit. I felt her concern for me and started to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
