I am a therapist with seven years of experience providing therapy to individuals with mental illness and those struggling with life changes or difficult circumstances. I received my Bachelors degree in Social Work from Central Michigan University, and my Masters degree from Michigan State University. I then was able to gain experience as a therapist in the community mental health setting as both a clinician treating severely and persistently mentally ill individuals, and also as an administrator. Through my years of service, I was able to gain knowledge on interventions to treat depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting struggles, personality disorders, trauma, and substance abuse disorders.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. Different interventions that I am trained in include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma focused interventions and Motivational Interviewing, among others. I will tailor our treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek assistance for your mental health, and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
