About me

I am licensed in Wyoming with 4 years of professional work experience in counseling. I also have experience in the education field, teaching both elementary and secondary content. I began my counseling career working with inmates and substance use disorders. I then moved into working with children, teens, and adults addressing mental health concerns ranging from abuse and trauma to life changes. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I like to use a client/person centered approach, as each individual is unique and is the expert on his/her/their life. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

I thought I could fix myself by myself but I got to the point where I couldn't get my head on straight. My very first session with Alicia connected so many dots I never would have connected in my own. She has been with me every step of my healing journey and I have never felt judged by her. She always has a tool or technique to help me get to the other side of any problem I'm facing. I can't recommend her enough!!!!

Teeter empathizes and appears to really understand my current issues and now we're working on ways to address them. I appreciate her thoroughness and willingness to work through everything. I have had issues finding help in the past because our issues are not simple and can be scary for some people and she's approached everything equally well without timidity.

Alicia Teeter is great at what she does and enjoys what she does too! I feel truly important and seen with her. She helps you get down to the root cause of issues and holds the space for you to take in difficult moments/realizations. She is amazing.

Alicia has been great. I was very skeptical starting this journey as it's not something I have ever done before. Alicia has been very friendly, an excellent listener and is open to talking about anything I need or want, which has been very validating. I don't feel like an agenda is being pushed and I'm asked about my needs or wants for discussion so we can stay on track and focus on what my current concerns are. She has helped me recognize different perspectives and explanations for things I thought I had previously figured out, which has opened my eyes. It's been nice to hear a fresh and unbiased perspective about things that have been troubling me throughout my entire life.
