About me

I have approximately 10 years experience assisting people with depression, anxiety, relationships, parenting, careers, abuse, grief/loss, and trauma issues. Life can be difficult to navigate through and no one should feel like they have to do it alone. I have discovered that building a supportive and enthusiastic relationship through therapy, can create a safe place to explore life struggles, understand difficult issues, develop new skills, enrich relationships, and work through situations to lead a more successful life. I believe that within a safe, trust-filled therapeutic relationship, people can decide upon and implement the changes necessary to improve their lives. My goal is for you to feel understood, validated, and free of judgement. If you are ready for a wonderful change in your life and would like some support, lets work together.

Alissa is very personable so it’s easy to speak with her and she is professional enough to keep me on track. For me, these two things are very important in working through what I started therapy for.

Alissa is very understanding, compassionate, and experienced. I have never had a good time with therapy, actively avoiding it most times. Alissa has made my experience great, and I actively look forward to being able to talk to her. I feel confident with recommending her to anyone.

Alissa has been very helpful since I started having therapy sessions with her. She is open and thoughtful. I feel great coming out of my sessions. I am starting to use the things we work on in there in real life situations. She gives me some weekly challenges that help me to stop and think about our sessions before reacting to a situation.

I have only just begun therapy with Alissa but I already feel comfortable and hopeful for the work that we will be doing together. I appreciate her support and understanding so far.
