Allison Clay is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in decreasing impairing symptoms of anxiety and mood disorders to improve daily functioning and quality of life.
After receiving her BA in Psychology from California State University, Northridge Allison found herself in what felt like the most unlikely of places…a middle school! And while working with teens in education was not her plan, she discovered that it was her calling. Ms. Clay found her true joy and passion advocating for the social and emotional wellness of students. It quickly became apparent to Allison that she wanted to continue in the counseling field and went on to earn her MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University to broaden her scope of practice and not only work with students of all ages but also engage with a wide variety of clients.
Allison recognizes that it can be difficult to put daily expectations and demands aside and make self-care a priority. However, she also knows that there are times for all of us when life is humbling and reminds us that we are simply human. It is in these times when we have the choice to do the most human thing possible and reach out for help. Allison looks forward to being your choice for support and working together soon!

Allison Clay is a wonderful therapist. I am grateful to have been matched with a therapist who has a background in education, she understands what I go through as a teacher. She has provided me with a lot of useful resources and has helped me bounce back to a happier self after a particularly challenging last few years post-pandemic. Allison is very kind, very understanding, and very friendly. I highly recommend her.
Allison has been nothing short of amazing in terms of being a kind and approach individual I can really open up to.
As it was my first time trying Therapy she was great at smoothing me into things with casual conversation and walking me through what we do.
10/10 would recommend Allison to others who try betterhelp.
I’ve been in therapy since I was 12… I’m 30 now. Allison is by far the best therapist I’ve ever had. She listens in ways I didn’t know I could be listened to and I have never felt judged by her/I feel like I can just be completely myself with her. I look forward to therapy every week.
Allison is a great therapist, I feel my voice was heard and she was very respectful during therapy.
Allison has been supportive and empathetic
Allison is all I would have hoped for. A good listener, with an ability to separate thoughts that I tend to merge into separate streams that can be dealt with differently. Very good at introducing tools to help. Only 2 sessions so far, but extreme value and insight already gained
Allison is an awesome therapist. This was my first time in therapy and she made me feel confident in the work we are doing and she has given me tips that have already made a world of difference in my life. I look forward to continuing to work with her.

Allison and I completely connect and relate with my issues. I do believe my case is mild compared to others. I always feel better after our sessions. My main issue is getting on her schedule that meets mine. I believe that is due to her having many patients. She has been a big help for me.
Always a pleasure to talk to.
We've only had one session but Allison is very nice and professional and helpful. In the one session I had, I already gained strategies to help me. I am a shy person but with Allison I felt comfortable In opening up and letting it out. I look forward to more sessions.
