About me

Hi, I’m Allison Clay — a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering virtual therapy for individuals navigating anxiety, mood challenges, and the everyday overwhelm that life can bring. If you’re feeling stretched thin, emotionally stuck, or struggling to manage your mental health, you're in the right place.

My approach is warm, grounded, and focused on helping you feel truly heard and supported. I’ve worked with people from all walks of life, but my passion for emotional well-being began in a middle school setting, where I advocated for students' social and emotional needs. That early experience still shapes the way I show up today — with empathy, consistency, and care.

As someone who lives with Generalized and Social Anxiety, I understand how exhausting it can be just to get through the day — and how hard it is to reach out for help. That’s why I’ve created a virtual therapy space that feels safe and flexible, where we can focus on your needs, in your time, from the comfort of your space.

Together, we’ll work to build insight into the patterns, triggers, and symptoms that are getting in the way of your well-being. We’ll also explore practical, healthy strategies that make life feel more manageable and more aligned with who you are. Therapy with me is collaborative and supportive — a place for real growth, real tools, and real connection.

If you’re ready to take the next step toward a steadier, more empowered life, I’d be honored to support you along the way.

Allison was definitely my favorite therapist I've had ever in my life. Allison actually heard what I was saying and gave me really good advice and tools on how to better myself

Allison Clay is a wonderful therapist. I am grateful to have been matched with a therapist who has a background in education, she understands what I go through as a teacher. She has provided me with a lot of useful resources and has helped me bounce back to a happier self after a particularly challenging last few years post-pandemic. Allison is very kind, very understanding, and very friendly. I highly recommend her.

Allison has been nothing short of amazing in terms of being a kind and approach individual I can really open up to.
As it was my first time trying Therapy she was great at smoothing me into things with casual conversation and walking me through what we do.
10/10 would recommend Allison to others who try betterhelp.

I’ve been in therapy since I was 12… I’m 30 now. Allison is by far the best therapist I’ve ever had. She listens in ways I didn’t know I could be listened to and I have never felt judged by her/I feel like I can just be completely myself with her. I look forward to therapy every week.
