About me

My name is Allison Dreshfield. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have experience working with a variety of individuals with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, attachment issues, grief and loss, trauma, and LGBTQ+ issues. I also provide support and resources for transgender and gender non-conforming or non-binary individuals and their families. I enjoy working with people of all ethnicities, genders, and sexual orientations. I predominantly use a person-centered approach, combined with trauma-informed and attachment-based theories. I tailor sessions to the needs of my clients and often combine different approaches. My goal is to help clients unpack their "stuff" in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. I feel honored to be a witness to someone's life experiences and bring compassion to every session. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them obtain mental health and well-being.

Really enjoyed each session with Allison! She helped me through the many changes happening during the pandemic and provided resources to improve my life. She’s encouraging and very easy to talk with. As a person from a traumatic background, I liked that she didn’t dwell on my past too heavily and was open to hearing what kind of therapy I wanted.

Allison is kind and a comforting presence! She does a great job of listening to concerns and then exploring options to better your well-being. I always feel much better and like I learned something about myself after talking to Allison.
