About me

Hi there! My name is Allie (she/they). I truly admire the effort you’ve put into seeking support on your mental health journey. That’s how I view this work—collaborative and centered on *you*. You are the expert of your own life, and I bring my training and lived experience to help support your goals—whatever they may be. If you're not quite sure what those goals are yet, that’s completely okay. We can explore and define them together.

I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I specialize in working with transgender and gender-diverse individuals, polyamorous clients, and neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and Autism. My work often focuses on challenges related to attachment trauma, sexual identity, and executive dysfunction—but I don't reduce people to their diagnoses. I am also passionate about empowering fat and plus-size individuals to feel confident and at home in their bodies, just as they are, free from judgment and harmful societal narratives. Additionally, I am kink-positive and strive to create a space where all expressions of consensual sexuality are respected and supported.

My therapeutic approach draws from Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Experiential/Creative Arts. I ground my work in humanistic and Buddhist philosophies, valuing presence, compassion, and the inherent worth of every individual.

Reviews

Really enjoyed each session with Allison! She helped me through the many changes happening during the pandemic and provided resources to improve my life. She’s encouraging and very easy to talk with. As a person from a traumatic background, I liked that she didn’t dwell on my past too heavily and was open to hearing what kind of therapy I wanted.

Allison is kind and a comforting presence! She does a great job of listening to concerns and then exploring options to better your well-being. I always feel much better and like I learned something about myself after talking to Allison.
