About me

Life can be filled with some tough times, let’s get through them together.
My name is Allison and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois where I earned my master’s degree in social work from the Jane Addams school of social work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I have been fortunate to have 15 years of experience building a foundation of trust and healing with my clients. Establishing a comfort level through connecting is very important. I would like for you to consider our time together as a partnership. I would love for you to feel open with me about any information that you share and for you to be able to trust me with that information. My counseling approach is tailored to you and your unique story. Our conversations are about your journey. I am here to help provide support. As an LCSW, I have a wide variety of experiences which include working in the mental health field, as well as with relationships, family and individual problems, depression and anxiety issues, trauma response disorders, and more. There is no judgment here, just a compassionate and empathetic focus on strengths and solutions. Together, I would like to support and empower you by discussing some of your past experiences, the issues and feelings that you are currently going through, and then, when it's decided that you are ready, I’d like to help you problem-solve positive solutions to help you move forward. Change does not happen overnight, but it does happen. We will get through this together! You can develop the coping skills and resiliency tools needed to live a rich and wonderful life!
You are welcome to message me anytime through Better Help. I usually check messages twice each day, seven days per week. I offer messaging, live chat, and phone sessions with limited availability on the weekends. Please note that what you see in my calendar may not reflect my only availability, so you always want to check that out with me through messaging first.
