Greetings! My name is Allison and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the state of Georgia and a Licensed Independent Social Worker for the state of Ohio. I have obtained a bachelors degree in Social Work from Johnson C. Smith University, a masters degree in social work from Georgia State University and a masters degree in family therapy from Mercer University. I have over 6 years of clinical experience in providing trauma-informed therapy to individuals, couples, and families with a variety of psychiatric, relational, and situational needs and concerns which include grief and loss, issues with depression and anxiety, bipolar disorder, and trauma. I also have experience working with individuals and couples who are a part of the LGBTQ community.
My therapeutic style consists of meeting and approaching people where they are in their varying situations. I have an open-minded, non-judgmental approach to therapy in which I work to view issues and concerns from a non-pathologizing standpoint. I mainly center around systemic and strengthening based therapies that are drawn from Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral and Solution Focused Therapies.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exercising, traveling, watching "reality television", and spending time with friends and family.
Life changes and transitions happen to all of us. Sometimes, we need someone to talk with to help better understand, process, and cope with things that are beyond our control. It is my hope that as you move through these changes and experiences, you will consider working with someone who is devoted to understanding what makes you uniquely YOU.
- Stress, Anxiety
- Family conflicts

Allison is awesome! She is an excellent listener who us none judgemental and gives thoughtful and sound advice! I highly recommend her!!
Allison has become a trusted friend and, often, the voice of impulse control, because there are times when that is an issue for me. In fact, lack of impulse control has gotten me into trouble more times than I can count. Allison's voice, and the passage of time, have contributed greatly to my ability to stop and think before acting.
Allison is a great listener. I’ve been able to share my thoughts while working on my major issues. She has helped me affirm myself in positive ways and helped me notice patterns in my life that have kept me stuck. I like that she allows me to talk through my issues and listens to my story without any judgement or bias. I’d recommend her to anyone especially if you mainly want to be heard and validated and don’t really need to be analyzed or diagnosed. I’ve really done a lot of work on my own and really just needed to be heard. She has been a great listener for someone like me. I’m very grateful to have found this platform.
Supportive and understanding, yet not judgemental. Allison has been a great help to me.
Allison has been a wonderful support system for me - extremely helpful, flexible, and keeps up with me throughout the week in between calls. She is easy to talk to, and has made me feel incredibly comfortable during our sessions.
She is very professional with her advice. She is honest with her critiques and her advice and in a non threatening way. I’m glad I was linked up with her in my pursuit to help myself.
Talking with Allison has really helped me open doors to understanding myself better. I can vent about my day and what is on my mind, and in my mess of words she will be able to find what set me off when I couldn’t find it myself. She tells me truthfully and honestly what she thinks would be best for my situation, and each time I have taken her advice it has helped tremendously. She’s direct yet personable. On days when I don’t get back with her within 24 hours she will send me a quick message asking how I’m doing and check in with me. It’s been really nice talking to someone who isn’t judgmental and is genuinely here with my best interest in mind.
She is engaged in the things I have to say and asks questions to better understand. She always asks the right ones. I feel comfortable working with her
I love Allison! She is an incredible listener and when I talk to her, I feel like I’m talking to an old friend. She isn’t afraid to call me out on self-destructive habits and does so in a humorous manner. She is hilarious and I genuinely enjoy talking on the phone with her. I look forward to our sessions not only because I know I’ll feel better, but because she is just fun to talk to. Everyone has different taste in counselors, but I’d suggest her to anyone who wants to feel like they are talking to a friend who will respect you and root for you on your journey.
Allison is down to earth, practical and easy to talk to. She listens and helps me figure out how to help myself. I highly recommend her.
Allison has done an excellent job of listening and asking thought provoking questions to help me think through the issues at hand. Over the past three months I have felt more than comfortable sharing with her, and she has shared supportive thoughts and great feedback all along. I have used the phone app for all of my communications with her, and find that she is responsive within a reasonable amount of time, and then checks in on me when she hasn’t heard from me in a while. I find great value in the program, as well as Allison for providing her words of encouragement and feedback!
In the short I've been talking to Allison I have found her very helpful. She's an excellent listener helped me sort out some issues I've been having.
I had my first call with Allison today and felt better than I have in a long time. She is knowledgeable and helped me see some things I was not aware of.
Today was my first session with Allison. I don't know how to describe it other than amazing. I've dealt with a LOT and she helped me with it all.
She wasn't some "stuffy" therapist, but still very professional. She not only helped me tremendously, it felt like I was talking to a friend. I know some may not understand the significance of this, but after talking to her, it was the first time I opened my blinds in over a month. For me, that's amazing. I'd definitely recommend her for various issues, especially if you're dealing with a loved ones passing away.
LOVE Allison. I always have her undivided and unbiased attention and she gives me the support I need. She's also willing to give you that extra push. She's just what I needed.
Allison helped me through a traumatic situation. She is very open-minded and non-judgmental. The live chats are best for communication to quickly get to the source of the problem. She replies promptly and in a professional and friendly way. Before I signed up I saw other reviews where people complained of generic copy and paste replies. Allison provides encouragement and support specific to the problem. I felt like she really listened to me. Thank you Allison!
Allison is extremely kind and is very detailed in her responses. I feel that she addresses everything that I send her and offers great insight.
She's amazing, really helpful, and resourceful!
Believe that she has a calming effect on my rocky nerves in this family crisis we're experiencing. Don't feel judged, simply understood. I believe that she understands the perspective and thought processes of other family members involved. Allison is helping me to explain and vent sadness and frustration in a way that is not harmful or accentuates the problems at present.
Allison is great! She listens and, when she talks to you and gives you advice, she incorporates all of the information you shared with her. She is so nice, so caring, and she seems to really know what she's talking about.
Allison has been great so far! Looking forward to working with her more!
Constructive, affirmative, and easy to talk to while maintaining professionalism. Would recommend for anyone.
Allison Wallace has been such a blessing. I really have benefited and grown in a positive direction with her as my counselor. I utilized both messaging and video chat, and always felt supported and fully trusted that Ms. Wallace would be responsive. Highly recommend her.
Allison has been most helpful to me as a listener and advisor following my separation and divorce. I've discussed many distressing issues with her, regarding my marriage and my job. I am now choosing to see a nearby counselor, but would absolutely recommend Allison and BetterHelp.
Allison is very responsive and SO understanding. I find her very helpful to me.
Allison is an amazing counselor. She listens and understands me very well. She responds in a timely manner with responses and questions that help me to workout my issues.
Allison is patient and thorough in our conversations. She is very timely with her responses. I appreciate her attention to detail, compassion, and her ability to ask all the right questions. I'm looking forward to continuing my counseling sessions with her.
Allison was incredibly helpful during a traumatic moving experience this summer where I was unemployed and deeply depressed, changing religious beliefs and overcoming drug addiction. With her help I was able to obtain a job, have difficult and meaningful conversations with my husband and loved ones, as well as stay sober in tough times. She is incredibly supportive and comforting, yet gives tough love and asks the hard questions that need to be asked in order to glean insight into a person's thoughts. I would recommend this site and Allison's service to anyone experiencing suffering!
I have not had much time to evaluate but she is doing a great job!
Allison is a very experienced and knowledgeable counselor. She has tremendous insight into the things that are bothering you and has great suggestions to help you see through your problems. I enjoy working with her.
