About me

I am a therapist licensed in Massachusetts in my ninth year working as a family and individual counselor. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, complex trauma, relationship and family challenges, issues at work or school, and social skills challenges. I have worked with a range of ages and family structures and always strive to appreciate the different perspectives and collective experience that everyone brings to the conversation.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with care, compassion, and curiosity, and I respect my client’s voice as the expert on their own experiences. My approach combines solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and humanistic principles, and I frequently incorporate mindfulness practices into my work with clients. I will listen to your concerns and your strengths, and I’ll help you develop goals that fit your individual needs.

I would be honored to have the chance to learn more about you and be part of your journey. If you’d like to work together to foster positive change in your life, I am ready to support and empower you.

I am looking forward to hearing from you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Alyssa Norton. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Alyssa is thoughtful, present, flexible, and relatable. It was very easy to talk to her and feel seen and heard. I really appreciated and valued the relationship we built; having someone with the expertise of a counselor and the rapport of a friend made sessions something I really looked forward to every week!

I worked with Alyssa for over a year and cannot recommend her highly enough. If you’re looking for someone smart, gentle, thoughtful, patient, and integrated into what it’s like to exist as a young adult in today’s weird world, And this is coming from someone who can be purposefully frustrating. Alyssa is great. 5 stars.

I've had the pleasure of having Alyssa with Betterhelp for roughly 9 months now. Alyssa has a very calm, level headed demeanor during counseling sessions. She is very easy to talk to, intelligent, and always provides sound advice. Would recommend Alyssa to anyone!

Alyssa is the best counselor I have ever had. She has helped me through some of the roughest experiences of my life and her counseling style is so warm and accepting. I appreciate how she provided me a space to discuss my problems free from judgement or any negative energy. She has a talent of uplifting people and helping them see strength in themselves, which I am grateful for. I truly believe Alyssa would be a phenomenal counselor to any client. Thanks Alyssa!

Alyssa is open, warm, perceptive, calming, invigorating, and someone I could form a wonderful connection with!!
With every session I felt more energy, clarity, and inspiration in myself.
When I look at myself from when therapy with Alyssa started to now, I see how I've become a much different and more vibrant, person :)
