About me

Welcome, my name is Amanda and I am a fully qualified integrative psychotherapist/counsellor. I work with individual adults offering an empathetic space for you to explore and make sense of your challenges, supporting you in feeling understood without judgements or expectations.

As an integrative therapist I use a range of therapies such as person-centered, CBT, and psychodynamic. I will work together with you to tailor our approach to therapy that sees you for the unique individual that you are, helping you to create meaningful and lasting change.

I am experienced in helping those with low self-esteem, inner child healing, managing anxiety & stress, coping with bereavement, depression, and those feeling generally unhappy with their lives. I also work with those who want to break unhealthy patterns or self-defeating behaviors, and improve their relationships with others and themselves.

All your data is stored securely and I am a registered member of the ICO, BACP and National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, as well as being fully insured, so you can be sure I will work with you ethically.

I understand attending therapy can be daunting, but I am here to support you through the process. As someone who has witnessed how life changing therapy can be, I would love the same for you.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Amanda Garnett. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Speaking with Amanda has become a genuine highlight of my week. She is a great listener & summarises what I've said to show that we're on the same page, then gives useful advice by cutting big issues into digestible chunks to action & address. Amanda has a sweet, caring presence and handles with compassion. I've progressed because she's provided me with the right questions & tools to do so. Could not recommend her more! Thank you so much Amanda.

Amanda is really proactive at responding to me. I particularly appreciate that she reads my journal entries and gives me questions to think about reflections differently. I appreciate when she paraphrases what I've said to check my understanding (and so I can hear my own logic patterns)
