Amanda Hillberry, LPC
About me
Hello! I am a licensed therapist in the state of Pennsylvania with a broad range of experiences in the counseling field. I have worked with children, teens, and adults with many different backgrounds and concerns in home-based, school-based, and outpatient settings over the past 5 years.
My therapy style is more laid-back but interactive, while also being direct when needed. I am passionate about counseling from a Christian perspective, but I am also able to counsel persons from all religious and spiritual beliefs to help them live more fulfilling lives.
My therapeutic approach consists of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Existential theory, Humanistic, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Since every person is unique, I will take time to learn your individual needs, wants, strengths and what you respond best to in sessions.
It is admirable to take steps to help oneself in greater self-discovery and growth. Thank you for being here, and for being you. I hope you feel heard and can know what it is like to be truly authentic.
I look forward to working alongside you!

Amanda was a great therapist for me! She was always kind, thoughtful and really listened to what I was saying, and offered valuable feedback. She stimulated my thinking and helped me navigate issues I was having by talking with me instead of to me. I’m so glad to have been working with Amanda!

It’s been a great experience so far! Dealing with the loss of my singing voice due to surgery triggered a lot for me, but it’s been such an eye opening experience. She really listens and helps me reframe my thinking in ways I would have never thought of. I highly recommend.

Amanda is a very good listener and not only has she listened to what I have to say but she helps me work through what my thoughts are, offering new perspectives. She has already started to tailor her style of therapy to figure out how to help me best and I truly appreciate that.
