About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a direct approach using eclectic interventions, with a strong focus in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness. For over 10 years I have had the privilege of working with a multitude of diverse individuals with many backgrounds. Reaching out for therapy is a big step, and I'm here to guide you through this process at the pace you're most comfortable with.

I will meet you where you are in life, regardless of what situation has brought you here. Together we can tackle any situations you're facing, whether it be general adjustment to life changes, just needing someone to lean on, to severe symptoms of anxiety and depression. I'm looking forward to getting to know you, and getting you another step closer to feeling better and more confident!

I offer services via text (live and asynchronous), phone, and video. Live sessions are booked in half hour increments by the BetterHelp system. If you don't see times available but you have a specific request, send me a message and I can see if I can make accommodations for you!

Amanda is AMAZING! She always listens and provides guidance and direction that has helped me navigate the things I have struggled with for so long. In the short time I've been working with her, I cannot only see my changes, but more importantly I can feel them. My thinking has shifted and I find that I'm working to help myself instead of against myself. Words cannot express my gratitude.

I have only had two sessions with Amanda thus far, but they have been great. I have always felt very reluctant of therapy but I actually look forward to our session! I have a hard time being vulnerable but she has made it easy for me to relax. I would recommend her.

I've only been working with Amanda for a few weeks, but so far I'm really grateful to have her as my therapist. She is a great listener, understanding, and suggests ideas for me to try and cope with my anxiety. Amanda is really wonderful. She’s honest, to the point, compassionate, and no-nonsense. I love her approach as it is so grounding and very helpful to me. I’ve seen many therapists over the years and can confidently say she’s really good at what she does!

Overall I love talking to Amanda because I feel like she is very understanding and also non judgmental. She helped me understand how to respect and begin to love myself. I really like having her as a councilor, and I feel the positive effects that therapy can have in my life.
