About me
Have you had some life experiences that have left you with flashbacks, trouble sleeping, intrusive memories, and emotional triggers that disrupt your daily life and functioning? Trauma can leave lasting marks on your mind and body. Have you found yourself wanting to find hope again and get back to better daily functioning? The effects of trauma can be overwhelming and can leave a person struggling to cope with everyday life. Roots of trauma can often be linked to accidents, abuse and disasters. Trauma can also be a result of intense occupational work, and can often leave a person feeling very alone.
I offer almost 4 years of Trauma Informed Counseling experience. My background is working in both a Community Mental Health Agency, as well as working in a Psychiatric Residential Mental Health Facility. My sessions focus on working on understanding how trauma affects your functioning, and skills we can work on to help with daily coping.
If you are looking for a gentle and healing space to process the past and move forward in strength, I would love to support you. My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered. I do not believe that any counseling intervention is a one size fits all, and I like to work with my clients on establishing goals to meet their individual needs.
