About Me

I am an adolescent and adult counselor licensed in Georgia with over 6 years of experience working as a trauma and addictions therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, complex trauma, process addictions, and substance abuse.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe you have what you need inside to heal; it's my role to provide you with the tools and comfort to withstand finding it. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, solution-focused, and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our session and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. When you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to seeing you!

Amanda is so warm, thoughtful, and kind. She immediately put me at ease and jumped right in to what I voiced were my concerns and anxieties. I look forward to our time together and the strategies she helps me find to help balance how my mental health makes me feel.

I have been seeing Amanda for 6 months and she has been able to get to the heart of a lot of things I did t even recognize. She was able to decode the language I was using about myself to help me see what is really happening. She is always insightful and incisive, asking the questions that are helping to put me on the path to a better self-image and understanding of myself and my motivations and values. I can't recommend Amanda highly enough.

I’ve been seeing therapists on and off for 20 years and Amanda has been the best person I’ve ever talked to. She understands me, asks all the right questions that help me untangle my thoughts and feelings. I feel energized after our calls and look forward to talking with her every week. 5 stars!

Amanda was a great counselor. I enjoyed talking with her, and she was very understanding and gave good tips and information as “homework.” I’m hoping I can find her again once I have my finances in order. I would definitely recommend her.

I've seen a lot of counselors trying to find one who listens to me and understands me without any prejudice and Amanda is absolutely that counselor. I feel like she is more of a confidant than a therapist, and always walk away with skills and tools to help me through my challenges.
