About me

I am a Licensed Clinical social Worker with over 7 years' experience. In that time, I have worked with individuals and families within the community, during crisis response calls, in the prison system and while hospitalized. These experiences allowed me to utilize various theories and treatments. Together we can utilize solution focused treatment, strength based, person centered therapies and mindfulness. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectal behavioral therapies.
Each individual is unique. Therefore, the practices we use should reflect this.
The first step was incredibly brave. You are here, looking for the individual that will take the next steps on the journey with you. I hope to see you along this journey.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Amanda Sharp-Potter. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Amanda has been an amazing sounding board for me these last several months. I appreciate that she takes my concerns seriously; she's always ready to share a worksheet or website or research to help me better understand my anxiety and how to deal with it. She challenges me to push myself but respects my fear and helps me work through it. She's sympathetic to gripes about my family and offers me ways to work with them to meet everyone's needs. I really enjoy my sessions with her; I'm so happy to have a partner to help me battle anxiety!
