About me
Amanda Slaten, PhD, LCSW, LCAC
Amanda is an expert in human cognition. She is passionate about helping others find productive ways to adapt, learn, and grow. Having a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and a master’s degree in social work has provided Amanda with a comprehensive foundation of human service. She maintains two master’s level clinical licensures of: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC) and has obtained a PhD in business psychology. She also has expertise in substance use disorders (SUD), emotional intelligence (EI), and leadership.
Amanda has over 20 years of experience working with children, youth, adults, and families. She has experience working with an array of mental health and addiction related issues; societal problems or concerns; disadvantages and personal struggles.
She is skilled in helping others find solutions through their own cognition. She believes that exploring internal solutions through thoughts can help individuals discover new ways of communicating, problem solving, coping, and reaching goals.
