I have special expertise in treating symptoms of anxiety, providing you with a wealth of cognitive behavioral coping skills. I use a variety of techniques in my practice to meet your individual needs. I also provide counseling services related to OCD, panic, depression, grief, relationship concerns, gender identity, sexuality, self-esteem, body image, family issues, codependency, and trauma processing.
I received my undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have a Masters in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I also have Masters in Conflict Management and Resolution from UNCW. This has allowed me to further deepen and hone my counseling skills.

Amanda is a very gentle, kind, and understanding counselor. Once I explained my issues and goals to her, we got straight to business. Rather than feeling like I have no say in things, Amanda makes me feel involved in the process of self-improvement, with stagnancy being next to none. Amanda has been a life saver for me in more ways than one. She has helped me get through some of the hardest times in my life and is constantly giving me ways to cope with my daily struggles. At a time when I needed something or someone but couldn’t find the time to go to a therapist, I found better help and it was perfect. I get what I need in my home, when I need it. It has been perfect and the best scenario to hopefully help me at this time in my life!
