Hello! I am a LPC licensed professional counselor licensed in Alabama with 10 years of experience. I hope to give you a space where you can be yourself and explore and work through difficult thoughts and feelings without feeling judged and also learn some ways to manage those feelings. I have a supportive approach to counseling and am very person centered (I use a lot of just listening, paraphrasing, acknowledging that how you feel is valid). I use various counseling techniques depending on your needs, but often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which emphasizes the role our thoughts play in our behavior and emotions, and ways to change/challenge these thoughts. I'm an avid animal lover who sometimes volunteers at a local cat rescue, and a huge fan of anything geeky. I understand first hand how difficult it can be to struggle with things like anxiety and depression, and I am glad you are reaching out. I hope to be there with you on your journey!
